Former Site for Headquarters of South Hunan Year-end Uprising

The former site for Headquarters of South Hunan Year-end Uprising was located in the center of Yizhang county, covering 4083square meters (including 2789square meters construction areas). It was firstly built in 10th Year of Shunzhi Emperor in Qing Dynasty (1653). It was used to be Garrison Department and was changed to Yizhang County Women’s Vocational School. In 1996, it was selected as one of “national key cultural relics protection sites” by the State Council. In 2001, it was declared as “national patriotism education base” by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of CPC. In 2006, it was confirmed as a “national typical scenic spot of red tourism” by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of CPC, the Civilization Office of Central Government, and the State Tourism Bureau.
